Baciata... Baciata? Yes - Baciata as in a Baciata Day.

Aesthetics!!! Hah, I don't know if I love or hate them, but one thing for sure, they impact everyday life. Thinking about it, I don't hate them, I just dislike the idea of being boxed in. Choosing a style and sticking to it. Yes, I'll often mention this concept since we currently live in Aesthetic World and once we choose one, we have to stick to it. So, going through the entire concept, I couldn't help but wonder what if I don't choose a beauty aesthetic and instead choose a beauty ritual? A passion, a daily activity and most importantly a ritual where I don't feel like I'm losing personality to become someone I'm not or to adopt a being I'm not.

What about just embracing ourselves? Being ourselves unapologetically? Choosing a ritual that embraces who we are as people?

I guess the question is "What is Baciata?"

What is Baciata?

Being Baciata is such a different vibe. It's bolder, warmer, and more. I really like Italy and I was looking for the term Kissed in Italian (baciato/a) which is where this idea came from. Being Baciata is all about being on the warm, cozy side, but somehow embracing the bolder version of ourselves. It's a life, a desire, a seduction, a moment, a world. It's a balance, a duality, a contrast.

When thinking of the idea of being kissed what came to my mind was when we start to exercise, any kind of exercise and we are not in deep but we already start sweating (you know when you start feeling that little heat) - suddenly the sun hits our face and we start seeing that little glow coming from our forehead; it's barely visible, but visible enough to get noticed as if we've just been kissed by the sun, by life, by love, by passion, by anything.

Looking at trends and I see a pattern, no matter what the trend is (except for maximalism - I mean, no offense, but the overuse of logo and color as if they are having a fight and none of them is winning is not doing it for me), what I see is an overuse of nude color palette and mind you that palette is very limited, including nude brown, nude beige, nude pale brown, brown and to add some color let's pour in nude pink. While these colors are not problematic, what if we add more colors to life? What if we take more risks?

Now the question is: when we talk about being Baciata, what does it really mean? What does it entail?

It's the language of being bold, warm, dreamy and passionate. Embracing duality to the fullest. Let's think about it; being kissed in general feels like having butterfly in our stomach - thinking of a morning sunrise barely there while the sunlight hits the window at the proper time, it's not bright yet but bright enough to be noticed. We're thinking satin finish - melting, blooming.

Beyond that, when thinking of it, it's bold and warm in terms of feeling. One look and one touch and we feel transported. It's cozy, a burning sensation.

A Baciata is the one who isn't afraid to embrace her warmth, being cozy, fun, seductive without losing personality (yes, we can wear bold colors).

Baciata Language: In Beauty (Face)

When we talk about Baciata in terms of beauty, we talk about a satin, shiny-looking face and makeup that melts.

To start, we need baciata base or a baciata face. Here, we're talking about a satiny face - a face so hydrated as if you're pouring oil on a salad, an amazing texture - dewy, shiny, well done, seductive, moist (I'm thinking it too but we know that's not what I mean no). A face ready for color.

Any product that provides hydration while being tinted (foundation, skin tint, concealer, and more) is a go-to.

Once, our skin is fully prep, it should be easy to now proceed with our beauty routine as makeup should glide on our face, a dewy foundation, concealer, and the regular beauty routine with setting powder. It does get exciting at the blush and lip part. Now for the eyes and highlighter, we go for darker colors such as bronze, dark green, burgundy, moody colors with a dab of a lighter color around the inner corner of the eyes. That being said, makeup is playful, let's make it fun. The key point here is a balance between darker and lighter color.

The entire goal is to feel as if we've been kissed by the sun, kissed by love and kissed by life itself.

Baciata Language: Blush

Now we get to one of my favorite parts - blush application.

I definitely prioritize cream blush over any kind of other blushes, mostly in the stick format. I find it very easy to control and apply. It glides easily and doesn't dry up fast; I don't have to worry about blending it fast before it dries up or creates a patch on the cheeks. I absolutely enjoy blush phase since it's an enhancement of the face, it lifts the face instantly.

I always go two options. The first one, choosing a bold color that will appear on the skin and stick to it. Choosing a color is such an important choice (we'll go more in depth in the future). The second option is a mix in order to create a gradient effect or blatantly create a new color completely. It depends on my mood, most of the time, I use it to create a gradient and use similar shades but slightly different. Other times, I apply one on top of the other to create a shade I envisioned.

The key here is Balance (Yes, we got this!).

Baciata Language: Lips

Lips are my absolute favorite part of a routine. One thing about me, you'll never catch me with crusty lips, even bedtime (something for another time).

A bold lip is my comfort ritual. Most of the time, I'll go light eye makeup and enhance with a bold lip just because I like colors. I'm talking red, dark purple, dark brown, dark pink, burgundy and so on and so forth. It's all about embracing a pop of contrast.

Something that says I'm here before I even open my mouth, captivate attention. A bold lip to me is key to confidence. Mind you, I also like wearing clear gloss, it's very comforting and a go-to mostly when I stay at home, but my absolute favorite is bolder colors.

Lips - lip colors are such a reset and such an underrated part of the beauty process that I can't stop emphasizing. If we ever feel confused on top lip colors that enhance our beauty game, So Be It Mister Private can help us curate the perfect beauty products and help with the entire styling and beauty process for any event. https://sobeitmisterprivate.com/

Baciata Language: A Warm Kiss

The next time, we're getting ready, let's ask ourselves, "Am I in the mood to feel? Am I warm today? Is life kissing me?"

If that's the case, let's fully embrace a Baciata Day.

No matter what happens throughout the day Misters, we can always embrace a Baciata ritual!
